How to Set Up and Configure Landing Pages

Create pages, pick blocks, publish your link, and connect them to your team and appointment messages.

Landing pages in Alivo are built from blocks you drag together in a visual editor. There is no code to write and no separate website to manage. This guide covers how to create a page, what each block does, how saving and publishing work, and how to connect pages to your team and appointment messages.

Create a Landing Page

Go to Marketing → Landing Pages and click Create New. You will pick a starting point:

  • Blank page. Start from scratch and add blocks one at a time.
  • Appointment confirmed. Pre-loaded with a countdown hero, map, timeline, checklist, reviews, and gallery.
  • Appointment reminder. Pre-loaded with event details, a checklist, timeline, and a call banner.
  • About us. Pre-loaded with trust badges, stats, your story, values, gallery, reviews, and FAQ.

The editor opens in a full-screen layout. On the left you see your block list. On the right you see a live preview. Page name, URL slug, and brand colors sit at the top.

Your Page URL

Every page gets a public link in this format:

your-alivo-domain/your-company-name/landing/your-page-slug

The slug is generated from the page name (for example, "About us" becomes about-us). You can edit it, but it must be unique within your account. If you change the slug on a live page, the old link stops working.

How Saving and Publishing Work

There is no separate draft mode. A page is live as soon as it has a slug and has been saved.

  • Page settings (name, slug, colors) autosave a moment after you stop typing.
  • Block edits save when you close the block editor panel.
  • Block order saves when you drag blocks up or down.

Watch the status pill at the top of the editor. It shows "Saving…", "Unsaved changes", or "Saved."

The Publish Button

Publish does not flip a page from hidden to live. It copies the public link to your clipboard. Use it when you are ready to share the URL on a QR code, text, or email.

You can also copy the link from the landing pages list using the copy icon next to any saved page.

Keep in mind: Because pages save live, preview your work before sharing the link widely. Use the preview dropdown in the editor to see the page as a homeowner, with only appointment info, with only audience info, or as an anonymous visitor.

Update a Page After It Is Live

Open the page from Marketing → Landing Pages and click to edit. Any change you make is live on the public link as soon as it saves. You do not need to republish.

Common updates:

  • Swap photos in a gallery or hero block before a home show.
  • Edit FAQ answers after homeowners ask new questions.
  • Change a CTA button to point to a different booking form.
  • Reorder blocks to put reviews higher on the page.

To start fresh without losing the original, use Duplicate on the landing pages list. You get a copy with all blocks that you can edit independently.

Overview of Blocks

Blocks are the building pieces of your page. Click Add block in the editor to see the full list. Blocks are grouped into six categories.

Headers

  • Header. A large title at the top of the page.
  • Hero. The above-the-fold section with background color or photo, headline, body text, and buttons. Can show an address map when personalized.
  • Countdown Hero. A hero with a live countdown to the appointment start time. Shows an AUTO badge because it pulls data from the visit link.
  • Top Nav Bar. A slim strip across the top with your logo, phone number, and a primary button.

Content

  • Simple text. A paragraph with optional variable placeholders (like the homeowner's first name).
  • Story. A section with a small overline, heading, and body paragraphs.
  • Pull Quote. A centered quote with attribution.
  • Event Details. Shows the appointment date, time, and location. Requires a personalized visit link.
  • Timeline. A step-by-step "what to expect" walkthrough.
  • Day-Of Checklist. A prep list with icons (clear the driveway, secure pets, and so on).
  • Values List. An icon list of company promises or differentiators.
  • FAQ. Collapsible questions and answers.
  • Map. A stylized map with a directions button. Uses the homeowner's address when the visit is personalized.
  • Materials. A gallery of uploaded photos, videos, or PDFs.
  • Photo Gallery. A grid of project photos.

Social Proof

  • Trust Strip. A row of badges (BBB, Google rating, licensed and insured, warranty).
  • Reviews. Customer testimonials with star ratings.
  • Stats Band. A strip of big numbers (roofs inspected, years in business, and so on).

CTAs (Calls to Action)

  • Button. A single button that links somewhere or adds the appointment to the visitor's calendar.
  • CTA Banner. A full-width bar with call and text buttons.
  • Referral. A refer-a-neighbor banner with share options.

Forms

  • Booking Form. Embeds a booking form from one of your active agents.
  • Calendar. Embeds a booking calendar for a specific event type.
  • Routing Form. Embeds a multi-step intake form that routes leads to the right place.
  • Form. A simple lead capture form tied to an agent.

Other

  • Logo. Your company logo, pulled from company settings.
  • Footer. Your address, website, and social links, also pulled from company settings.
  • Embed HTML. A sandboxed area for a custom embed snippet from another tool.

Personalized Blocks and Variables

Some blocks pull live data from the visit link. In the block list, these show an AUTO badge. The main ones are Countdown Hero, Event Details, and Hero or Map blocks configured to use appointment or address data.

Text Variables You Can Insert

Inside any block with text fields, use the variable chips to insert placeholders:

Variable What It Shows
[COMPANY_NAME] Your company name
[FIRST_NAME] / [LAST_NAME] Homeowner name (personalized visits only)
[HOST_FIRST_NAME] / [HOST_LAST_NAME] Sales rep name (appointment visits only)
[EVENT_TITLE] / [EVENT_DATE] / [EVENT_TIME] Appointment details (appointment visits only)

If someone visits without personalization (like from a truck QR code), name and appointment variables either stay blank or show sample preview text.

Brand Colors and Media

Set primary and secondary brand colors at the top of the editor. Blocks that use your brand color pick them up automatically.

Upload images, videos, and PDFs directly into Materials blocks and hero sections. File size limits:

  • Images: up to 20 MB
  • Videos: up to 500 MB
  • PDFs: up to 100 MB

New blocks need to be saved once before you can upload photos into them.

Connect a Page to a Team Member

To send a Meet Your Sales Rep link automatically in appointment messages:

  1. Build a landing page for the rep (photo, bio, reviews, and so on).
  2. Copy the public link.
  3. Go to Settings → Team, open the rep's profile, and paste the URL into Landing page link.
  4. Save the user.

From that point on, confirmation and reminder texts and emails for that rep's appointments include the Meet Your Sales Rep link. Alivo adds the appointment and homeowner details to the URL so personalized blocks work.

Add Landing Page Links to Confirmations and Reminders

For pages beyond the automatic Meet Your Sales Rep link, edit the custom message on the event type.

In Appointment Messages

Go to Settings → Scheduling, open the event type, and find the confirmations or reminders section. In the custom SMS or email editor, open the variable picker and choose a landing page. This inserts a token like [LANDING_PAGE:about-us] into your message.

When the message sends, Alivo replaces that token with the full personalized link. If the slug matches the host's landing page link, the system uses the host's URL with tracking parameters already attached.

In Agent Follow-Up Messages

The same [LANDING_PAGE:slug] variable is available in agent follow-up and FAQ message editors. It resolves to the full link when the message goes out.

Manage Your Pages

On Marketing → Landing Pages, you can:

  • Edit any page.
  • Copy the public link with one click.
  • Duplicate a page to create a variant.
  • Delete a page you no longer need.
  • See analytics: total visits and unique visitors per page.

Build the page, save it, copy the link, and put it where homeowners will find it. Connect it to your team and appointment messages when you want personalization on autopilot. For ideas on where to use your pages (home shows, truck wraps, and more), see the companion article on getting the most out of landing pages.
