Alivo Capture Lead Sources: Website Widgets, Landing Pages, and Smart Links
Your built-in tools for turning website traffic and shared links into booked jobs.
Alivo Capture is the set of built-in lead tools Alivo gives you out of the box. Instead of wiring up a third-party form or chat tool, you can add widgets to your website, share hosted landing page links, or hand out a smart text link. Each tool creates a lead in Alivo, ties it to a lead source for reporting, and hands it to your agent for follow-up. This guide walks through all six Alivo Capture options and when to use each one.
What Counts as Alivo Capture
Alivo Capture covers six lead source types in Settings → Integrations → Lead Sources. You can also add many of them from Marketing → Lead Capture. In the lead source picker they are marked with an Alivo Capture badge.
- Website Forms. Invisible script that captures submissions from forms you already have on your site.
- Chat Widget. A text-based widget (not live chat) that starts an SMS conversation with the visitor.
- Pop-up Widget. A timed pop-up on your site that shows a lead capture form.
- Booking Widget. A slide-out tab that collects contact info and sends the visitor to your booking calendar.
- Landing Pages. Shareable hosted links for simple lead capture or booking with a calendar.
- Smart Text Link. A link that opens a pre-filled text message to your business number.
How Every Alivo Capture Tool Connects to an Agent
Every Alivo Capture lead source needs an agent linked to it. That agent controls the first text message, follow-ups, and booking behavior. The agent must be set to Active on the Agents page for automatic follow-up to run.
For website widgets (Chat, Pop-up, Booking, and Website Forms), the widget stays hidden on your site until an agent is selected. You can also turn a widget off with the Widget Visible toggle in the lead source settings.
Good to know: In some screens the agent dropdown may still say "Campaign." That is the same thing as your agent.
At a Glance: Which Tool Should You Use?
| Tool | Best For | What Happens After Submit |
|---|---|---|
| Website Forms | You already have contact forms on your site | Lead created, agent sends the start text |
| Chat Widget | Visitors who want to text you instead of filling a long form | Visitor gets a text on their phone, conversation continues by SMS |
| Pop-up Widget | Capturing visitors before they leave | Same as a website form: lead created, agent follows up by text |
| Booking Widget | Booking inspections straight from your site | Visitor goes to calendar; if they do not book, agent texts a reminder |
| Landing Pages | Ads, email, or social posts that need a dedicated link | Simple form or booking page, depending on which link you share |
| Smart Text Link | Business cards, yard signs, truck wraps, or email signatures | Prospect texts START and the agent picks up the conversation |
Booking Pages and Form Abandonment
Three Alivo Capture tools can send someone to a booking calendar: the Booking Widget, the booking landing page link, and booking blocks on pages you build in Marketing → Landing Pages. They all follow the same pattern:
- Step 1. The visitor fills out a short contact form (name, phone, and any other fields you require).
- Step 2. Alivo creates the lead and sends them to your scheduling calendar.
- Step 3. If they do not finish booking, Alivo waits (5 minutes by default), then sends a booking reminder text asking if they need help or want to pick a time.
You can customize the wait time and reminder message on the agent under Booking Form Wait Duration and Booking Form Nudge Text. The reminder can include a calendar link using [CTA_LINK].
Why the Text Widget Beats Traditional Live Chat
Alivo's Chat Widget is often called a "text widget" because it does not keep the conversation in the browser. When a visitor opts in, Alivo texts them on their phone and the conversation moves to SMS. That matters because with traditional live chat, the moment someone closes the tab the conversation is usually gone. With Alivo, Evan (your web-lead agent) can keep following up by text even if the visitor goes cold or comes back days later.
Where to Go Next
Each Alivo Capture tool has its own setup article:
- Website Forms — capture your existing site forms without rebuilding them
- Chat Widget — add a text-based widget that starts SMS conversations
- Pop-up Widget — show a lead form in a timed pop-up
- Booking Widget — slide-out booking tab with calendar abandonment follow-up
- Landing Pages — shareable hosted links for forms or booking
- Smart Text Link — one-click text links for offline and digital marketing
Pick the tool that matches where your leads come from today. You can run more than one at the same time, and each one shows up separately in your lead source reporting so you know what is actually working.
